A few months ago, I had the opportunity to try out KT Tape. For those of you who don’t know, KT Tape is a type of athletic tape that is used to relieve pain and support muscles.
I was intrigued by the idea of using tape to help with my knee problems, so I decided to give it a try. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the results.
But can I sleep with KT tape?

However, it is not recommended to apply it just before sleeping as it takes a couple of hours to bond correctly and be fully supportive. If the area covered by the tape gets itchy or starts to burn, applying an ice pack can prevent irritation. If you have an injury, it is best to let your doctor apply the tape.

If you have an injury such as tendinitis, your PT may ask you to wear it for a few days at a time before changing it. It is also advisable to exchange between heating and cooling therapy by adding ice packs and gels that can help you get better faster.

Using KT Tape for athletes has potential side effects, including burning and itching sensations, discomfort, and skin irritation. It is not recommended for use on open wounds, deep vein thrombosis, or other cardiovascular conditions.
While it can be effective for mild to moderate injuries, it is not the most approved option for clinical settings, and doctors may prescribe a clinically-approved therapy instead.
